About Us

In 1914 Congress authorized individuals and their lawyers to assist the federal government in enforcing the antitrust laws by permitting suits by those injured by antitrust violations to recover triple damages and attorney’s fees. Nearly a century later, most antitrust enforcement is performed by specialty antitrust law firms as the private, civil arm of law enforcement.

Barry & Associates was founded in 1979 in San Francisco emphasizing antitrust enforcement on behalf of those injured by antitrust violations. The firm works with lawyers and law firms in California and across the United States. Attorney teams vary in size according to the needs of the case. One case (a San Diego MLS case) has so far involved over twenty attorneys managed by Barry & Associates during eight years. Current Open MLS cases involve about half a dozen firms led by Barry & Associates.

Barry & Associates has protected the rights of real estate professionals for decades. The firm is currently protecting real estate licensees and appraisers from being victimized by the National Association of Realtors and its 1,500 affiliates.
